Chong “Bill” Bong, PE
President

Bill is the founding Principal of RRC, current RRC President, and a member of the RRC Board of Directors. As President, Bill manages the operational activities of the company and works closely with fellow board members to implement company strategic plans, policies, goals, vision, values, and objectives. Bill leads the company engineering and energy services business. He is also responsible for overall company financials, human resources, information technology, business development, and new initiatives. Bill is skilled at identifying opportunities and delivering strong financial performance to ensure the company’s sustainable growth. Bill holds a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Since co-founding RRC in 2007, Bill and others have positioned the firm as experts in the energy market.

Gary Box  
Vice President

Gary has been in the Oil & Gas business for 15 years, 11 of those years working in the surveying industry. From 2007 to 2015, Gary worked as a Crew Chief staking over 4,000 well locations, multiple pipelines, and electrical easements. In his years as Crew Chief, Gary gained the experience needed to be Survey Coordinator and uses his knowledge to work with clients and field crews to execute projects. As a founding member of RRC Energy Services, Gary assisted in the growth of the company from 2 employees to 60 in just 5 years. As Oil & Gas Industry Lead, Gary is responsible for initiating the sales effort, managing sales team activities, securing and supporting executive communication, developing appropriate business value messages, and securing each sale with the appropriate contracts and agreements. In addition, Gary is in charge of managing projects, marketing endeavors, and proposal execution.

Rod Townsend
Senior Project Manager
San Antonio, TX

With over 25 years in the oil and gas industry, Rod has worked his way from a board drafter to a respected Project Manager. During his thirteen years with the El Paso Corporation and Kinder Morgan, he had direct experience with information and records management, survey and drafting coordination, meter and compressor station piping, API vessel and storage systems, and pipeline transmission and gathering systems. Rod’s training includes Six Sigma Green Belt training, System Project Management, PACE Continuous Process Improvement, Frontlines Leadership Development, and Autodesk University.  He is experienced in AutoCAD, CADWorx, ArcGIS, Blue Sky, and MicroStation. Rod is a ten-year veteran of the United States Marine Corps, where he received Advanced Leadership training and led a platoon of Marines during combat operations in Iraq.

Pedro Gonzalez-Ocasio, RPLS, PS, PLS
Project Manager

With more than 35 years of experience in land surveying, Mr. Gonzalez-Ocasio has oriented his career towards providing quality work, client satisfaction, and timely responses. From Crew Chief to Survey Project Manager, Pedro has gained considerable experience in his career including field data collection and processing, supervising field and office personnel, interviewing future prospects, writing proposals, invoicing, client interface, analyzing and recommending new equipment, and signing and sealing surveying plats. Pedro owned his own land surveying company in Puerto Rico for over 17 years. Since relocating to the U.S., he has worked in exploration and production for the design and drilling of well pads, pipeline easement projects in the Eagle Ford Shale and Permian Basin, wind and solar energy projects, NMDOT projects, coastal restoration, transmission line easements, boundary surveys for the Corps of Engineers in Texas and Puerto Rico, ALTA (NSPS), topographies, lot subdivision plats, and elevation certificates. He is licensed in Texas, New Mexico, and Puerto Rico.
